The Freeborn
Mastermind of biotech and tactics. Architect of the Freeborn resistance. Defiance through science.
“We will not outnumber the shard. We will outthink it.”
The Freeborn
A calculating architect of traps, timing windows, and machine-forged control. Doctor Boon thrives on layered reactions, tactical denial, and patient battlefield manipulation.
“Break the signal. Restore individual thought.”
Origin & Lore
The night the heavens split, the world ceased to behave according to its old laws. Doctor Boon became one of the only minds capable of reading the pattern. The contagion was not biological — it was instructional. It taught people to collect, to mimic, to converge. The infected did not lose awareness. They lost the ability to think anything the signal had not already authored.
In abandoned laboratories, Boon and his allies created the Neural Halo — a device that restored fragments of identity to the partially absorbed. It did not cure. It disrupted. It gave the infected a window of selfhood, however brief. The Stellar Splicer followed, carving pockets of cognitive clarity from irradiated air.
A crowd of thousands — already halfway absorbed — marched in lockstep toward a convergence point. Boon deployed Neural Halos along the aqueduct’s crystal channels. For one trembling heartbeat, human will returned. People stopped. Some wept. Some screamed. Some simply stood, remembering their own names. This is where Starfall begins: not in victory, but in the first proof that defiance is still possible.
Deck Identity
Five trap slots make Boon the undisputed king of reactive play. Layer traps to create lethal minefields that punish every move the opponent makes.
Peek the top card of the opponent’s deck. Information is power — knowing what’s coming lets Boon prepare the perfect counter. Cooldown 2.
Synaptic Disruptor negates Actions. Entropy Matrix destroys all traps. Flash Containment grants trap immunity. Boon doesn’t just play the game — he controls what game is being played.
Boon’s allies deploy with amplified ATK and HP, compensating for his lower Resilience. Shield Drone, Shock Golem, and Barrier Warden form a surprisingly durable front line.
